AI readiness assessment: is your company ready for AI?

An AI readiness assessment is a structured look at whether a company is ready to put AI to work: goals, data, systems, processes, team and rules are checked, and the result is a target picture with effort and expected benefit.

The assessment is the usual starting point of our AI consulting. Below, you can go through the six question blocks yourself first, with no form and no sign-up.

The self-check: six question blocks

Pick one concrete task, such as answering recurring requests or filing incoming documents, and answer the questions for it. Don't add anything up. What matters are the places where you say "I don't know."

1. Goal and use case

  • Can you say in one sentence which task the AI should take over?
  • Do you know how you will tell that it got better?
  • Is there someone in the company who wants the benefit and owns it?

2. Data

  • Is the data the AI needs available in digital form?
  • Do you know where it lives and who maintains it?
  • Does it include confidential or personal data?

3. Systems and interfaces

  • Which software is involved in the task?
  • Do these systems offer an interface (API) or another orderly way in?
  • Who looks after them technically?

4. Processes

  • Is the workflow written down, or at least do all involved agree on how it runs?
  • Does it repeat often enough for automation to pay off?
  • Where does a person check the result today?

5. Team and AI skills

  • Who already works with AI tools, officially or privately?
  • Do your employees know what is allowed and what is not?
  • Where is training needed?

6. Rules, data protection and governance

  • Is there an AI policy, or does every department go by its own judgment?
  • Is it settled which data may go into which tool?
  • Is whoever owns data protection involved?

There is no score, no certificate and no level we sort you into. Every "I don't know" is material for the mapping. If you are unsure in several blocks, the conversation is worth having.

What happens in the intro call and the mapping

  1. Intro call (30 minutes by video, free): Which task, which data, which systems, which requirements? We assess what AI can solve.
  2. Mapping: We go through the six blocks on your concrete process, together with the people who work with it.
  3. Target picture: You get a concept with effort and expected benefit, and a reasoned recommendation on the approach (process automation, integration, RAG, Corporate LLM or the AI phone assistant).
  4. Decision: Data protection questions are settled and documented. Then you decide whether a pilot follows.

The assessment answers "Where do we stand?" The order of the steps after that is laid out in the guide to an AI implementation roadmap.

Where the assessment can lead

Sometimes the honest result is: not yet, data or responsibilities have to be settled first. That is part of the consulting too, and it saves you a pilot that goes nowhere.

Frequently asked questions

AI readiness assessment, answered briefly.

What is an AI readiness assessment?

An AI readiness assessment is a structured look at whether a company is ready to put AI to work: goals, data, systems, processes, team and rules are checked, and the result is a target picture with effort and expected benefit.

What does the assessment cover?

Six areas: the goal and use case, the data, the systems involved and their interfaces, the workflow, the team with its AI skills, and the rules, including data protection. We don't go through them in the abstract but on one concrete process or knowledge area in your company.

Do I get a score or a certificate?

No. titanspear.ai has no score, no certificate and no maturity model with levels. The result is a target picture with effort and expected benefit, plus a reasoned recommendation on which approach fits you.

What is the difference between an AI readiness assessment and an AI maturity model?

Maturity models place a company on a scale of levels. We don't use one. We work from a concrete process and ask what it would take to run AI there: which data, which systems, which rules, which skills.

How much does the assessment cost?

The intro call is free. The mapping is part of the AI consulting engagement; we set its scope after the intro call and you get a fixed price. A flat rate without knowing your processes and systems would be a guess.

How long does it take?

That depends on the process and your systems, so we don't quote a fixed length. In the intro call, we estimate how much time your situation needs.
